You may have to mixdown and then listen.nevertheless, still beats running hither and yon checking your mixes. It is a standalone and it sits between your program and the Soundcard/Interface. I have the stereo version and it's been quite useful for seeing how the mix translates from "place to place".
The one you want to "listen in".this is far more beneficial IMO. You can listen to your mix in different studios just by selecting
If you REALLY want something useful try this.about the same price
Owners of TYE1 can upgrade going to downloaded the demo.not much really IMO.now if when you go full wide that will translate to mixdown then that might have some use for widening up your mixes.but I see no real benefit to this, especially when you consider Sonarworks.and there are only 3 presets. Well, this gives you 3, without leaving the seat of your mix chair albeit an emulation non the less flat near field monitoring, flat far field. Listening on various stereos and headphones is how a lot of people end with a great mix.
The update is free for all TrainYourEars EQ Edition 2 owners. The waves nx is a God send, if only for it being an extremely flat and transient precise listening source. This includes simulating the reflective qualities of a well-designed control room and applying. TrainYourEars EQ Edition 2 is available for purchase for 49 EUR. In an effort to narrow that gap, Waves have developed Nx: a monitoring plug-in that slots into a DAW’s master stereo out insert point with the aim of emulating a control room/loudspeaker environment when listening on conventional headphones. And a bigger one, which sometimes made low frequency noises when moving sliders in correct mode.
TrainYourEars has released version 2.1 of its TrainYourEars EQ ear training software for sound engineers. Now that Reason will support VST I'm thinking of getting Nx Virtual Mix Rroom and Refrence 3 Headphone Plugin from Sonarwoks to put on the master bus. With Waves Nx Speakers, the sound of any music, movie, or game is transformed into multi-dimensional audio that provides listeners with astonishing panoramic depth and width.
